Cover Letters

Don't hire someone without first tuning in for this essential advice.

I've posted a lot about cover letters but want to reiterate - make them relevant to the job. Got one that started out "My wife, daughter and I are looking to move to Raleigh." No mention in the paragraph of what they actually do. CLs should be about your skills and why someone would want to call you. And we don't want to know that you are married with kids! Don't hurt your job search before you start.
