Is LinkedIn Working For You?

Are you constantly receiving messages from recruiters about jobs you don’t want? Or are you thinking about a career move but aren’t letting people know?

Your profile on LinkedIn is searchable by a vast array of recruiters, colleagues and industry peers that may like to speak with you. As well as being a fantastic way of sharing information, the social network can help you find your next job.
However, if when the recruiters conduct a search and find your profile page, it is empty, sparsely filled out or incomplete, they will never know that you were a perfect fit for their job and move on.

  • Some important factors include:-A profile photo of your face (a clear and professional-looking photo. This isn’t Facebook!)
  • Work experience and relevant skills
  • References from previous employers and colleagues.
  • Groups – Join groups for your specific industry and skills to keep up with news and other leaders.
  • Contact information. (So we can get in touch)

Alternatively, if you’re not currently looking for work and don’t want to be contacted, you can change your preferences to reflect the fact.
