Unless you've been living in a cave these last weeks, you'll know there's been a huge outcry about employers snooping on candidates' social media profiles, or worse still requesting Facebook passwords as part of their hiring processes.
What's had very little coverage is the positive role your social media profiles can play in landing you a job.
So it was with great interest that I read today's CareerBuilder infographic. That employers would be deterred by provocative photos or drunkeness is hardly a revelation, but scroll down and you'll find something far more interesting. A candidate's social media profiles can solidify the decision to hire in a way that's had little if any media coverage.
I leave you to dwell on the tweaks you might want to make to your social media profiles before you progress too far along the job hunt path...
