Whether you’re new or a seasoned professional, one of the biggest budget questions is which conferences to attend to get the most out of every dollar. At least a hundred conferences exist — giving any recruiter the opportunity to learn what it is they want to learn in any specific area of recruiting. Looking for specific inspiration this year? Here’s a list of conferences and what you’ll learn from each for the upcoming 2019 conference season.

SourceCon (March 4–5, 2019 in Seattle, WA)
If you’re looking to learn from one of the most dedicated and passionate groups of industry leaders — this is the conference to attend. One of the only conferences where you’ll get to interact on a personal level with those who are making an impact in the sourcing world.

Focus: Sourcing Strategies

NACE Conference & Exposition (June 3–6, 2019 in Lake Buena Vista, FL)
The only conference that dedicates itself to the university recruiter. The National Association of Colleges and Employers’ Annual Conference takes places at the entrance to one of happiest places on earth, Disney World. This conference is a must-attend if you work in university recruiting and looking to up your game. Be sure to look for Oleeo at Booths 201 and 300!

Focus: University Recruiting

ERE Recruiting Conference (April 22–24, 2019 in San Diego, CA)
The one that started it all. The ERE Recruiting Conference is your go-to conference if you’re looking to sharpen your all-around skills as a recruiting professional.

Focus: General Recruiting Strategies

Social Recruiting Strategies Conference (January 30- February 1, 2019 in San Francisco, CA)
The Social Recruiting Strategies Conference takes place in San Francisco, CA and is one of the newcomers to the scene. This conference takes a look at best practices around social recruiting and how to use this practice to source better talent.

Focus: Social Recruiting Strategies

RecruitCon (May 8–10, 2019 in Austin, TX)
RecruitCon puts value in its pre-conference workshops and the value in attending this conference comes from the forward-thinking topics such as automation, veteran recruiting, diversity and inclusion.

Focus: Advanced Recruiting Strategies

Indeed Interactive (May 13–15, 2019 in Austin, TX)
Indeed Interactive is known to bring captivating content through keynote speakers as thought-provoking panel discussions. This is the fifth year in a row for Indeed Interactive and one of the largest conferences topping out around 20,000 attendees last year. Think of this conference as a playground where the sky’s the limit. While aimed for senior professionals, there is a wide variety of professionals that attend.

Focus: Advanced Recruiting Strategies

Recruiting Trends & Talent Tech (Feb 20–22, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV)
While this conference might be a non-traditional approach to recruiting and talent acquisition, the Recruiting Trends and Talent Tech event happening in Las Vegas has been known to create a dialogue that is thought-provoking and challenging to attendees. The conference boasts the ability to create an intersection between science and work. Oleeo is a finalist for the Recruiting Trends & Talent Tech Talent Solution Impact Award and I’m (Jeanette Maister) moderating a diversity & inclusion panel on February 21 from 1–2pm!

Focus: Art + Science in Recruiting

While this is by no means an exhaustive list of conferences to help fuel your recruiting event inspiration, this list of seven will hopefully give you luck in the new year. Here are a few others where you can also find Oleeo among the distinguished speakers!
